Epsom Equestrian Pillow
The Epsom Equestrian Pillow proudly displays the Thoroughbred Race Horse Gladiateur, the 1865 winner of the Epsom Derby in England. Generously sized at 15" x 20", our Epsom equestrian pillow goes well on a couch, bed, or large chair. Trimmed using a 3" bullion fringe, backed in coordinating fabric, it closes using a hidden zip. The fill is feather down.
The Epsom Derby began in 1661 as an unnamed match race. In 1779, the race series became what is known today, although thoroughbred horse racing in that period was typically run over a course of 2 or more miles. The 1865 Epsom Derby winner was Gladiateur, depicted on our Epsom pillow. Owned by Count F de Lagrange and ridden by jockey H Grimshaw, his time was 2 minutes and 46 seconds. Enjoy a piece of Thoroughbred racing history with our Epsom pillow in your home!
