This product ships unassembled and will require easy and straight-forward assembly using common household tools. Detailed instructions are included.

This item ships via FedEx or UPS (depending on your zip code). Once shipped, you will receive a tracking # via the email address you provide. Ground shipments usually arrive within 2-5 business days. Please inspect the package when it arrives to review if damage occurred during shipping. If a box is crushed, wet or severely damaged, reject the shipment and do not sign for it. The item will be returned to us, which allows us to file a claim. We will then be able to ship your replacement item within 24 hours.
If shipment is found to be damaged after delivery, contact customer service immediately so a claim can be filed. Please retain all damaged items and shipping materials, as the carrier may need to perform an inspection.

The Federal Slip-Over Post Cap is one quality post cap that is not designed for finial adornment because the wood profile on post cap top is not a flat, level surface and therefore not suitable for use with a finial. However, these wooden post caps feature a traditional base molding profile and come in your choice of western red cedar or redwood - two wood types best known for their durability in harsh weather environments. If your post measures 4" x 4", order a 4" x 4" post cap. A 1/8" of "wiggle room" is added to each post cap to snugly fit around your post. The inside depth of this slip-over cap is 1 1/2".
