Recognized and Schooling Hunter Jumper Shows in Alabama
The Alabama Hunter Jumper Association is the principle hunter show organization in Alabama. The show season runs from March to November, culminating in a championship show at season's end. For "recognized" hunter shows in Alabama, the AHJA is the governing organization recognizing these shows. Please refer to their website for specifics.
Most hunter horse shows offer two rings of competition: one for beginners and another for more advanced riders. Classes are divided between OF (over fences) and Flat (no jumping).
