Schooling Hunter Jumper Horse Shows
Schooling Hunter Jumper Horse Shows offer a great atmosphere to gain experience in hunter jumper riding. The show atmosphere is more relaxed, and a large class list gives opportunity to keep going into the ring for exposure. Schooling Horse Show dress codes can vary, but most accept both coats, ratcatchers, or polo shirts - check the prize list. Braiding is usually optional. And while it is nice to compete without the hassle of a detailed turn-out, it is important to respect our sport by being neat, clean, and safe. You should always strive to look your best and present your horse well!
Most hunter horse shows offer two rings of competition: one for beginners and another for more advanced riders. Classes are divided between OF (over fences) and Flat (no jumping).
